The Floridablanca was the name of the ship that Gaspar led in a mutiny against the captain in 1783. After the mutiny, Gaspar renamed the ship the Jose Gasparilla. The story of José Gaspar is the inspiration for the annual Gasparilla invasion of Tampa, Florida. The invasion features the Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla's Jose Gasparilla II, a steel barge that's towed by tugboats and accompanied by other vessels.
The Flagship of Bay Area Beard Co., this profile combines an aquatic Bay Rum & Tobacco along with Black Oud & Black Amber Musk
The "Queen Anne's Revenge" was the flagship pirate ship of Edward Teach, better known as "Blackbeard," during the Golden Age of Piracy; originally named "La Concorde," it was a French slave vessel captured by Blackbeard in 1717, which he then renamed and used to operate along the Carolina and Virginia coasts before ultimately wrecking it off the coast of North Carolina where it was discovered in 1996 near Beaufort Inlet. One of the most formidable pirate ships ever, carrying 40 cannons and enough room for plenty of men and loot.
The first of new additions to the lineup, REVENGE blends and array of black fig, fig leaves, cedar, coastal redwood, spices, Smoked violet and white sandalwood
Golden Hind was a galleon captained by Francis Drake in his circumnavigation of the world between 1577 and 1580. She was originally known as Pelican, but Drake renamed her mid-voyage in 1578, in honour of his patron, Sir Christopher Hatton, whose crest was a golden hind (a female red deer).
A sexy sandalwood tops this profile, along with amber, musk, cinnamon, patchouli. You may even notice carnation & plumeria in this bold masculine profile
The Fiery Dragon was originally a Dutch warship; it was captured and claimed near the Cape Verde Islands by pyrate Captain Christopher or Edward or William or John Condent (probably) in 1718. The Fiery Dragon and her crew had quite a successful pyrating career in the East Indies. It was said that Condent and his men had so much loot that they need never plunder another ship.
Most certainly a Fiery profile, FIERY DRAGON uses a ginger orange eo/fo assisted by a bronze suede & burnt cinnamon. There may even be some spice alongside a "smoky" elegance
She was a 14-gun merchant ship, about 65 feet (20 metres) long on deck. They hired experienced captain John Cook, replaced by Welsh buccaneer Edward Davis when Cook died. The young men proposed going a-privateering (to them, a nice way of saying “a-pirating”) in the Caribbean. Wafer explained that the west coast of South America would be the most advantageous place to go. For navigator they hired the famous William Dampier.
A true Bachelors scent. Bourbon Vanilla, fragrant Pipe Tobacco, Oud, even a bit of smoke in this very well rounded man cove profile
The original Adventure Galley was Captain William Kidd’s main ship during his years as a pirate. It was a square-rigged sailing ship some 124 feet long on the keel (about 38 metres) and overall about 150 feet (about 45 metres). Between April 1696 and April 1698, she travelled thousands of miles across the Atlantic and Indian Oceans in search of pirates but failed to find any until nearly the end of her travels. Instead, Kidd himself turned pirate in desperation at not having obtained any prizes.
The first TRUE woodsy scent from Bay Area Beard Co. Take an ADVENTURE with Cedar, Sage, Black Cypress, Musk, and Sea Salt
Fancy was initially a 46-gun privateer named Charles II – after Charles II of Spain – in Spanish service, commanded by a Captain Gibson, and was anchored at A Coruña, Spain. On 7 May 1694, Henry Every and a few other conspirators organised and carried out a successful mutiny and, setting Captain Gibson ashore, left A Coruña for the Cape of Good Hope. At this time, Charles II was renamed Fancy.
Last but most certainly not least FANCY lives up to its name by using a Vanilla Oak eo/fo with Parisian Oud, spices, musk, amber & vetiver
